Vertical chemical pump sealing problem
Leak-free is the eternal pursuit of chemical equipment, and it is this requirement that has led to the growing use of magnetic and shielded pumps. However, there is still a long way to go before the service life of the magnetic pump isolating sleeve and the shielded pump shielding sleeve, the pitting of the material, and the reliability of the static sealing. Some basic information about the seal is briefly described as follows:
Seal form
For static seals, there are only two forms of gaskets and seals, and O-rings are the most widely used. For dynamic sealing, vertical chemical pumps rarely use packing seals, mainly mechanical seals. Mechanical seals can be divided into single and double ends, balanced and unbalanced. Balanced for high pressure media seals (usually referred to as pressures greater than 1.0 MPa). Double-end machine seals are mainly used for high temperature, easy crystallization, viscosity, particle content and toxic volatile media. The double-ended machine seal should inject the spacer fluid into the sealed chamber. The pressure is generally higher than the medium pressure of 0.07~0.1MPa.
2. Sealing material
Fluororubber is generally used as a static sealing material for vertical vertical chemical pumps. Polytetrafluoroethylene materials are used under special conditions. The material structure of the mechanical seal dynamic and dynamic ring is relatively important. It is not the best for hard alloy. The high price is unreasonable on the one hand, and there is no difference in hardness. Therefore, it is better to treat it differently according to the characteristics of the medium.
